A fried-chicken restaurant has captured the hearts of San Franciscans. The Bird landed in the city's SoMa neighborhood in October and has since been drawing lines out the door.
The counter-service restaurant is part of restaurateur Adriano Paganini's growing empire, which includes Super Duper Burger, Unos Dos Tacos, and about 20 other Bay Area restaurants. Like the popular burger chain, The Bird features a limited menu of just two entrées and fries.
We stopped by The Bird on a recent afternoon to see if it's worth the wait.

San Franciscans are lining up to try the city's hottest new fast-casual venture, The Bird.

Somehow I drummed up the willpower to hold off on lunch till about 1:30. When I arrived at The Bird, there was no line. My colleagues tell me they usually wait about 20 minutes.

Check out that line!
